DIVA INTERIOR DESIGN. LTD. has created a new take on the "contemporary interior" with the combination of clean simple lines, distinguished Mediterranean wood pieces and strong contemporary art. The firm won second place in the 1999 ASID design competion for the best home over 5,000 sqare feet. The living room/dining room photo was also selected for the cover of SOUTHCOAST STYLE magazine.

The background colors in this home are a soft, light yellow. Layers are added in neutrals with varying textures. Stronger accent colors are added in accessories with the impact coming from the strong statement made with the contemporary art. The lines have been kept clean and simple, yet there is richness and warmth with the use of natural materials and hand rubbed finishes on the wood furnishings. The chairs and sofas are contemporary, yet very comfortable and inviting. The result - a unique design created to meet the client's criteria.
